Abbey McClain
Assistant Public Defender
Abbey Mclain is a graduate of the University of Memphis where she majored in Criminal Justice and Criminology, with minors in French and Philosophy. From there she went on to graduate from The University of Memphis- Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. It was through her internship at the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender that she discovered her passion for public defense. Her internship led to an externship, which led to a law clerk position, which ultimately led to her taking an assistant public defender position with the office. Abbey prides herself in providing client centered advocacy in every case. As a prior intern, Abbey is eager to be a resource and mentor to incoming interns.
