Kathryn Hurley
University of Michigan Law School
Kathryn Hurley is a rising third-year law student at the University of Michigan Law School. During law school, Kathryn has had the opportunity to work on compassionate release motions for clients at the Federal Community Defender in Detroit and has helped residents fighting to get their unemployment benefits in Michigan Law’s Workers’ Rights Clinic. Kathryn plans to work as a public defender when she graduates and is looking forward to learning from experienced attorneys at the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender about how we advocate for our clients in court and tell their stories. Outside of law school, Kathryn enjoys running road races and hiking.
