Kelly Barrett

Kelly Barrett is a rising second-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is honored to have the opportunity to work and learn as an intern with the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender this summer. Kelly hopes to practice holistic criminal defense as a public defender after law school and advocate for those who have been most aggressively harmed by the prison-industrial complex and deprived of their rights to equity by both our criminal legal system and country as a whole. When not studying for class or exams, Kelly loves to backpack, camp and practice her skills as a certified whitewater raft guide.
