Madeleine Lippey is a rising second-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center. Madeleine is committed to gender justice and legal advocacy, particularly criminal and family defense services for women and mothers. Madeleine looks forward to spending her summer in Shelby County working alongside clients and learning more about actively opposing incarceration as a solution to social problems rooted in racism and patriarchy. Madeleine is an avid reader (of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry), an active follower of politics, and a consumer of pretty much anything chocolate.
