Maiyisha Keita

Maiyisha Keita is a rising second-year law student at the North Carolina Central School of Law. Originally from Memphis, Maiyisha chose to work with the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender (SCPD) to serve and defend the community she grew up in. Maiyisha was drawn to the SCPD for our admirable work of providing equitable legal representation to youth and adults facing racial and economic injustice. In her free time, Maiyisha enjoys binge-watching Netflix and spending time with her family.
