Roger Johnson is a rising second-year law student at the George Washington School of Law in Washington, D.C. Roger graduated from Rhodes College in 2018 with a degree in History, where he studied Modern American History. Roger chose to work for the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender this summer because of his interest in public advocacy and love for the Memphis community. Roger wants to use his summer internship as a way to make a positive difference in a city that has given him so many wonderful experiences. Roger is an avid runner, and enjoys nothing more than a good run along the Mississippi River or in Overton Park. Roger also enjoys hiking and canoeing - one of his favorite spots in Memphis is the “Ghost River” section of the Wolf River, just an hour outside of Memphis.
