On March 16th, our office launched our bail initiative to advocate for the release of eligible detained clients who were particularly vulnerable to contracting the COVID-19 virus. It was and is our concern that the conditions of confinement would make our clients susceptible to increased transmission of the COVID-19 virus, leaving many of them who are medically compromised at risk for infection.

We were right. 

To tell the stories of our clients and attorneys' experiences while navigating this effort, The Humanity Project was created.
